git clone failure – Clone succeeded, but checkout failed

I tried cloning my git project multiple times but getting the same error.

You can inspect what was checked out with 'git status'
and retry with 'git restore --source=HEAD :/'

ok let’s see what that means

You can inspect what was checked out with ‘git status’

cd webcompat-ml
git status

it gives me:

On branch master
