you can check existing symlink by going to public directory of your laravel project and running command “ls -l”

you may get output like this ———-

total 2868

-rw-r–r–  1 root root   90185 Jul  4 14:57 5ef34aaed1a17.jpeg

drwxr-xr-x 11 root root    4096 Jul  6 07:35 images

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root    1869 Jul  4 14:57 index.php

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root     132 Jul  4 14:57 site.webmanifest

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root      35 Jul  6 08:03 storage -> /var/www/html/storage/app/public

drwxr-xr-x  3 root root    4096 Jul  4 14:57 uploads

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root     914 Jul  4 14:57 web.config

SO here  symlink is this  :  storage -> /var/www/html/storage/app/public

If you have it and still want to create one then first delete this symlink from public directory manually.

And then run below command inside project directory

sudo ln -s  storage/app/public  public/storage
